Welcome to merry old Claremont! For Isabella's fourth birthday she was Maid Marian (a la the Disney girl fox). Check out this costume Nonna made for her -- ears, tail (picture below), and all. It was dead on. She even made the necklace, of soft fabric because SOME people don't LIKE itchy things. I think Izzy thought we were actually going to BE IN the movie.

Maid Marian awaits her guests. Check out the tail and how it sticks out of her dress!

A little archery practice while we wait.

We made garlands out of pipe cleaners, ribbons, raffia, and silk flowers. More of a mom activity in the end!

Isabella chose cupcakes, and we found fun colors for frosting. Decorating them was a blast.

Thanks to Nonna, we had goody bags sewn out of burlap and tied with this great mossy green fabric. They were the perfect touch. We filled them with chocolate coins (taxes! taxes!).

Frosting first, then cupcakes if there's time.

We didn't have a contest, but this would've won best garland by far. Made by Chloe('s mom).

A little help with candles.
